Chapter 4

 

Caught up into heaven

 

After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will show thee things which must be hereafter.  --  Rev 4:1 (KJV)

And immediately I was in the spirit; and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.  --  Rev 4:2 (KJV)

And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.  --  Rev 4:3 (KJV)

And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.  --  Rev 4:4 (KJV)

And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.  --  Rev 4:5 (KJV)

And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.  --  Rev 4:6 (KJV)

And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.  --  Rev 4:7 (KJV)

And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.  --  Rev 4:8 (KJV)

And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,  --  Rev 4:9 (KJV)

The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,  --  Rev 4:10 (KJV)

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.  --  Rev 4:11 (KJV)

 


 

Door opened in heaven

The throne in heaven

The glory of God is like a Jasper stone

a glorious emerald bow surrounds the throne

 

And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone:

and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.  --  Rev 4:3 (KJV)

 

Round about the throne, 24 elders

 

 

And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.  --  Rev 4:4 (KJV)

John ascends into heaven

I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.  --  2 Cor 12:2 (KJV)

How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.  --  2 Cor 12:4 (KJV)

 

I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,  --  Rev 1:10 (KJV)

 

Those raptured may have a higher calling

 

For better it is that it be said unto thee, Come up hither; than that thou shouldest be put lower in the presence of the prince whom thine eyes have seen.  --  Prov 25:7 (KJV)

 

Remember how we said that there was a divine  order to the first ressurrection

Jesus was called The Only Begotten

 

In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.  --  1 John 4:9 (KJV)

 

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  --  John 3:16 (KJV)

But God intended the planted seed to produce after its own kind

Jesus is the FIRST BORN from the dead !

Christ is the FIRST FRUITS

 

 

 

But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.  --  1 Cor 15:20 (KJV)

 

Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest:  --  Lev 23:10 (KJV)

And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.  --  Lev 23:11 (KJV)

 

 

 

Christ is not Jesus only, Christ is the entire body

 

And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,  --  Eph 1:22 (KJV)

Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.  --  Eph 1:23 (KJV)

 

Man has a soul, spirit, and body

 

Jesus has a soul (Jesus), a spirit (Christ),

and a body (the Church)

 

For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.  --  Eph 5:30 (KJV)

For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.  --  Eph 5:31 (KJV)

This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.  --  Eph 5:32 (KJV)

 

So Christ risen speaks of his entire body. 

Christ represents the firstfruits  -- plural

 

But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.  --  1 Cor 15:20 (KJV)

Presupposing that there would be

a second, third, fourth ?

 

And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.  --  Col 1:18 (KJV)

 

Christ is the FIRSTFRUITS of them that slept

Christ is the whole group that rose from the dead

They are the FIRSTFRUITS of them that slept

 

Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.  --  Mat 27:50 (KJV)

And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;  --  Mat 27:51 (KJV)

And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,  --  Mat 27:52 (KJV)

Christ lead captivity captive

And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.  --

Catching Away of the Saints

And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.  --  Ezek 37:6 (KJV)

So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone.  --  Ezek 37:7 (KJV)

And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them.  --  Ezek 37:8 (KJV)

Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.  --  Ezek 37:9 (KJV)

So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.  --  Ezek 37:10 (KJV)

Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts.  --  Ezek 37:11 (KJV)

Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.  --  Ezek 37:12 (KJV)

And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves,  --  Ezek 37:13 (KJV)

What is the Bride of Christ ?

        the inhabitants of the New Jerusalem
