| In
our previous study of the Fourth Kingdom we looked at the Roman
Imperial Cult and the seven heads and ten horns upon the Roman beast.
We further discussed the reigns of Augustus, Tiberius, Caligula, Claudius,
Nero, Domitan, Trajan, Hadrian, Antoninus Pius, Aurelius, Commodus,
Serverus, Maximin, Decius, Valerian, Aurelian, and Diocletian.
We will review some of this as we proceed to interpret the symbolic meaning
intended within the seven trumpets of the Book of Revelation.
We
will discuss the destruction of Herod's temple and the abomination of desolation
placed by the Roman soldiers. We will further discuss the meaning
of the encrypted "mark of the beast" or 666 as it is more commonly referred
to.
Was
there indeed such a marking in the times of the Roman emperors Decius
and Valerian? Does the encryption 666 and the numerical
significance of the mark point to Rome? We will proceed to discuss
the conversion of the emperor Constantine and the division of the Roman
Empire, the Eastern Empire and the Western Empire which is reflected prophetically
in Nebuchadnezzar's image having two iron legs. |
